Speak up for better biking in JP – Rep Sanchez survey

***Apologies to those who got our constant contact email with the incorrect link – the survey link below should work!

State Representative Jeffrey Sánchez has created a 2016 Community Survey, and he needs your input! The survey covers many issues, but includes questions about road safety (on page 4) including:
“What are your thoughts on traffic and road safety along the Arborway, Centre Street, and Perkins Street in JP?”

The Department of Conservation and Recreation has been working on new designs for the Arborway from Forest Hills to Jamaica Pond, Perkins St along Jamaica Pond, and Centre St along the Arnold Arboretum.
However, despite holding public meetings for these projects in 2015, there has been little momentum in the past year. Please let Rep. Sánchez know what you think about all of the
issues in the surveybut be sure to let him know how important improving these corridors is for making our roads safer for all users.

If you’d like to know more about these projects, and how a protected bike lane on the Arborway could drastically improve biking in JP and the connectivity of our parks, read this article from last year.
