Sign up for our Fall Bike Maintenance & Repair Class!
Knowing how your bike works and how to fix basic problems is a great way to save money and ride safer (and more often!). Our Basic Bike Maintenance and Repair course covers most of the typical issues bike commuters run into. It is intended for those with little or no bicycle repair experience, and it is taught by a professional Bike Mechanic.
Topics covered:
Fixing a flat
Adjusting bearings
Adjusting brakes
Drivetrain maintenance
Adjusting shifting
The class runs for 2 hours, once a week for 5 sessions (Every Tuesday from November 22 – December 20, 6 – 8 PM. ). Participants will work on their own bikes. Preference will be given to those who can attend all 5 meetings. Intended for adults 18 years and older.
Cost: $100 for the 5-week course. Some scholarships available (see last page of sign-up). Classes will be held at the Boston Cyclists Union’s Bike Workshop space, at 375 Dudley Street, Roxbury, MA 02119.
