Boston City Council Hearing – Safe Streets & Budgeting

April 22 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Last month, Councilors Durkan and Breadon called for two hearings after the bombshell Boston Globe report which uncovered that Mayor Wu was personally halting street safety projects.

Additionally, in January, Councilors Weber and Pepen called for a hearing discussing the results of last year’s 30-day Review and its implications in the year that followed it.

The momentum is real! We’re nearly at 750 unique letters in our Safe Streets Can’t Wait campaign, making it one of the BCU’s most successful campaigns to date. We also have many City Councilors on our side asking the same questions. It’s up to us to show our strength in a moment like this.

We’re asking folks to make an attempt to attend in person if you can, or call in to make public comments on Zoom. Let’s stand with the Councilors that are fighting for us and demand answers on why the safety of Bostonians is being halted!
