DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition\, Mattapan on Wheels is a social bike ride/tour of Mattapan and its surrounding communities. This is a free event for cyclists of all ages and skill levels to come together\, get physically active\, and ride with a goal of making Mattapan a more bike-friendly neighborhood. This year’s route will travel along the Neponset Trail toward Hyde Park\, Milton\, and Quincy. Register in advance here\, or on site beginning at 8 a.m. \nThe Boston Cyclists Union will be on hand with our mobile bike repair station to fix bikes for all interested riders before they head out on the route.

DESCRIPTION:The Boston Planning & Development Agency is kicking off a public process to identify potential improvements impacting all modes of mobility in the Allston and Brighton neighborhoods. Dubbed the AB Mobility Study\, this plan aims to build off Go Boston 2030 to establish actionable goals and projects to improve mobility\, safety and quality of life in Allston/Brighton. Community feedback will play a large role in shaping the plan\, which will be crafted over the following year with an expected finalization date in Winter 2019/20. In this introductory meeting\, city staff will provide an overview of the project and solicit suggestions for how the study should be conducted\, and what exactly it should address.

On our 10-mile ride starting at Blackstone Square in the South End we will also highlight successes towards making Boston a safer City to bike in and areas that will only be improved if we build the power to make changes so everyone get around safely and comfortably.
