This bridge was only accessible by walking or biking for several years until it was closed in 2014 for structural reasons\, and now some designs include adding cars (or buses\, ride shares & shuttles only). The studies indicate that adding traffic to this bridge will not alleviate traffic\, and may even make it worse. Last summer\, we had a community meeting focusing on the portion on MBTA land adjacent the Roslindale commuter rail station.
