DESCRIPTION:A spate of development is slated for the area between Harrison Avenue and Albany Street in the South End following zoning changes approved in 2012. That includes the large Harrison Albany Block project\, a 3.1-acre development featuring two mixed-use buildings — each up to 11 stories tall — containing a total of 650 apartments and nearly 100\,000 square feet of retail\, cultural and office space. On Wednesday\, July 11\, the Boston Planning & Development Agency\, Boston Transportation Department\, and Boston Public Works will host a public meeting to discuss the state and future of the project\, and its projected impact on the area’s transportation network. DESCRIPTION:In order to encourage more women to bike\, the City of Boston is offering several “Women’s Learn to Ride” clinics\, and a more advanced “Street Skills” class! Running from June through October\, these events are taught by women and open to all women and non-gender-conforming people who live in the city of Boston. The events are free\, but registration is required. \nThis class is appropriate for people who have never ridden a bike before\, or can ride a little but need to work on basic skills (starting\, stopping\, turning).
