You too can become a card-carrying member of the Boston Cyclists Union and support safer streets, neighborhood access to bike repair, and family-friendly bike paths!
Your membership strengthens the voice of cyclists in City Hall and the Statehouse. It also gives you access to a growing number of member discounts at retailers and service providers across the city. Together, we can make sure Boston becomes America’s premier cycling city.

Standard Membership: $35 a year. To give cards to additional family members, add $10 for each person.
Student/Low-income: $25 a year.
Scorchers Club: donations over $125 receive a free BCU T-Shirt and join the Scorcher’s Club. A Scorcher is a group rider who tends to leave the pack behind (a tendency scorned during the bike craze of the 1890s, but is admired in things like, fundraising).
You can also earn membership through volunteering: Anyone who volunteers for the union for more than five hours has earned their membership with the sweat of their brow. To offer your time, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
New members will receive a card certifying that they are a member in good standing of the Boston Cyclists Union and be given discounts at BCU events. Your donation will go toward supporting our campaigns for building the biking community, for a citywide bike network for commuters and families, and for giving more resources to the city’s bike programs to make Boston America’s Cycling City.
Theft Protection (Optional):
You have the option of adding your bike’s serial number as a theft protection measure! Storing that in our database allows you to retrieve it from us in the event of a robbery. Serial numbers are the only way police can positively identify your bike if it is recovered. Note: If you don’t have the numbers on hand now, we can always add your bike serial number(s) to our database at a later date!
Farmer’s Market Sponsorship:
For a tax-deductible donation of $300, you or your organization or business can sponsor one of our existing farmer’s market locations or a new location at any Farmer’s Market within the City of Boston. You will have the option of being recognized as our sponsor at the market site. This donation would support 3 once-a-month visits from the bike tune up stand in July, August and September 2011. Or you can still sponsor a market for the remaining part of 2010.
